History of Las Colinas
Polo Club Birth of The Las Colinas
Polo Club
In 1973, Ben Carpenter envisioned building a world-class equestrian
center that would include facilities for polo. In 1982, the
Las Colinas Equestrian Center was built and in 1990, a 24-hour,
state-of-the-art veterinary clinic was added to complete the
facility.
In 1993, Polo Management, L.L.C., organized to create the
Las Colinas Polo Club (LCPC) and play began in 1996. Today,
the LCPC hosts more than twenty tournaments each year drawing
players from around the world. Capital One Championship Field
at LCPC is known throughout the polo community as one of the
finest facilities in the country to play and observe the spectacular
sport of polo.
Set on 24 lush acres, the perfectly manicured green fields,
coupled with the stark white tents, help create an ambiance
as elegant as the sport itself. Each Sunday during the season,
spectators enjoy a quiet relaxing afternoon watching polo
and visiting with friends.
Season:
League and tournament play is held in the spring, May –
July, and in the fall, September – November. Spectator
games are held every Sunday afternoon during the season.
